Cultura Inquieta

What does “Cultura Inquieta” mean exactly? Where does the name of the platform actually come from?
Friends, it’s not easy to translate into English and there is no direct translation that captures the immediate essence.
Cultura Inquieta could be translated as culture as a living thing, in constant motion without fear of exhibiting new art or giving a platform to new voices. It could also be translated as a condition that gets you jumping out of bed every morning with the enthusiasm to take pleasure in all the beauty that real life has to offer us, from a bondage photo by Nobuyoshi Araki to a watercolour by Paul Klee or a glass of wine to a bin full of rubbish!
Cultura Inquieta integrates and combines, in essence, everything out there that is artistically moving.

Cultura Inquieta dedicate themselves to, basically, having fun.

They are equally of the opinion, of course, that each diverse artistic language is a communicating vessel. If you enjoy music, then in the same way you will enjoy cinema, street art or theatre. With respect to art there is, fortunately, no exclusivity. It is for this reason that our programming is so eclectic and heterogeneous. As such, Cultura Inquieta will always offer in its agenda, music and short films with sculpture, and photography, and audiovisual projects, and DJ’s, and poetry, and workshops, and theatre and so on and so on.

Cultura Inquieta’s range of activities is diverse. They combine their presence in the network via a magazine, podcasts, social networks, www.culturainquieta.com; live events in different cities all culminating in our grand celebration, The Festival.

It is super cool and alternative, so if you want all your mates back home to think you’re edgy, I recommend Cultura Inquieta.

Their festival takes places from the 4th to the 29th July: a whole ...month of concerts, workshops, theatre, street art and more! As always, they believe that everyone should be able to participate, which is why they have made tickets ridiculously affordable. You can get yours on tiketea and at reservas@culturainquieta.com, or directly at the venue. To see all activities and more information, please visit culturainquieta.com. See you there!
