Cirque du Soleil describes itself as a “dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment.” It was founded in 1984 by two Canadian former street performers and is based in Montreal, Quebec. Thanks to a generous government grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, the act has been able to develop since it’s first tour as “Les Échassiers”in 1980, and is now celebrated across the world as one of the very best modern-day circus acts.
So there’s the history for you. More importantly: when is it on!?
